3 MAIN TYRES PROJECTS OF CONTINENTAL GROUP
The
Continental Company Limited, the world 4th largest tyre
producer of the world has launched 3 giant projects.
The
first one is to establish the Extra Tyre Manufacturing
Factory in Czechoslovakia with the investment Budget of
74 million Euro.
The
Continental Company has joined with the Sime Darby Bhd
of Malaysia to set up a new tyre- manufacturing factory.
In this joint venture project, the Sime Darby will merge
its two own factories which are DMIB Bhd and Sime Tyres
International Sdn. Bhd. together under the new registered
name of the "Continental Sime Tyre Sdn. Bhd". The Continental
Company holds 51% of the equity.
The
next project is the establishment of an Air Conditioning
Devices Manufacturing Factory in Timisoara, Romania with
end investment of 10 million Euro. It is forecasted that
this last huge project will begin operation in Year 2004.
The Continental had already invested 6 million Euro to
build a factory at Timisoara in 2002.
