Chinese Firms to set up Rubber Plantation in Mindanao

City Nov. 5 Asia Pulse - Two China-based firms have expressed
interest in putting up a rubber processing plant in North
Cotabato to help boost the development of the rubber industry
in Central Mindanao.
North
Cotabato Governor Emmanuel Piol said the firms whom he
failed to identify, have chosen Kidapawan City as the
site for the rubber processing plant citing a stable peace
and order situation in the area.
"This
will definitely boost the region's economy and would generate
more jobs for the constituents here" Piol said.
The
governor said construction for the rubber plantation is
set early next year.
